great ambiance but service needs improvement
The gardens provided a serene backdrop for our stay. The breakfast included excellent bread and fresh juices, good. I appreciated the fine pool view, made for lovely afternoons.
Some younger staff needed more hospitality training, which affected their service confidence.

Lovely staff who helped out with our requests, my pregnancy and early breakfast day of departure. Beautiful hotel and grounds. Lovely and quiet when there, which for us was great. Had wonderful massage too.
Ate in hotel first night, food was very salty to me. Could have done with more information on area regards to where supermarkets were and places to eat, times etc as we had to just go looking and most are tucked away and only open certain hours which would be difficault with children and when pregnant.

we stayed at the convent for my birthday on a 2 night 'special ' priced stay, because we loved the hotel so much we decided to stay another night. it was a lovely experience, we had never been to the costa brava before and were delightfully surprised by not only the natural coastline unhindered by high-rise apartments but also by the beautiful bays and beaches of the area.

We liked the peaceful location and private garden and the fact that it was close to a town and beaches.
Did not feel that the dining room had any ambience. It felt like a tunnel and we chose not to eat there although before arriving had planned on eating in the first night. they have a wonderful terrace with a bar area immediately behind it and it would be so much better if they put the bar where the dining room is presently!! Our only 'complaint'!

the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. also, i thought the hotel grounds were very peaceful and relaxing - sitting next to the pool, scenic view, listening to the natural stream crackle - amazing.
the gym/sauna wasn't great, but it was functional.

Perfect getaway with a peaceful vibe
The gardens were super relaxing and the pool area had nice shady spots, a huge plus. The breakfast was really yummy, especially the fresh pastries. Only thing is, it can take a bit to walk to the beach, but it's not a big deal. Staff was super kid-friendly too!

The place looks great; nice ambience; staff are in no way intrusive, but are helpful when called upon. The staff were generally excellent, but particularly in the dining room. Angel & Juan in the bar / dining room were stars of the show. They're friendly, efficient & have everything under control, & they know when / when not to engage with guests - absolutely fantastic. The location was also perfect - seemingly isolated, but within walking distance of a local beach & some small restaurants, & within 10 mins drive of fantastic villages, beaches etc. I would definitely consider going back if visiting the region again.
Rooms / bathrooms are small & basic (Superior double). The exercise room is pointless.

The hotel offered fine views and a charming ambiance. We loved the comfortable beds and the pleasant breakfast, which had something for everyone. Plus, the location was perfect for easy beach access with my teenage daughter.
In my wife's opinion, a more extensive menu for family dining would be awesome.
